Utah - National and State Super Fund Project Accomplishments for 2007
Wild Turkey Restoration
Wild turkey restoration began in 1952. In the last 5 years alone, 5, 262 wild turkeys have been released in unoccupied habitat in the state. It is estimated that Utah has approximately 18,500 wild turkeys in the state.
Wild Turkey Research
Between 2002 and 2007, NWTF National provided a total of $177,500 for research projects.
Super Fund
- Over $1,118,543 has been spent from the Utah Super Fund since it's inception.
- In 2007, Utah put $127,801 in their Super Fund and spent $109,991.
Guzzlers for Gobblers
Spent $43,651 to development wildlife water sources and riparian improvements enhancing 152,770 acres.
Operation Big Sky
Two chapters have spent $740 since 2005.
State Legislative Caucus
Utah has committed $15,000 to supporting the State Legislative Caucus.
